Biomet Bone Cement V

Biomet Bone Cement V is a low viscosity bone cement, which has been developed for use in vertebroplasty. The bone cement is injected into the vertebral body lesion for stabilisation purposes. Biomet Bone Cement V is used for the augmentation of vertebral bodies. A high concentration of zirconium dioxide is included in the cement powder as an X-ray contrast medium.

Indications for vertebroplasty

• Severely painful osteoporotic compression fractures
• At painful vertebral body tumours (metastasis or myeloma)
• Symptomatic vertebral hemangioma
